Mergulhada em 2 mil anos de história da marioneta viaja a Lisboa para nos revelar o seu teatro mágico.
The Quanzhou Marionette Troupe China was founded in 1952, and is a major exponent of marionette theatre in the Quanzhou tradition, which has been named a national intangible cultural heritage. It has a stock repertory of over seven hundred plays and over three hundred set tunes and melodies for the traditional puppet music. It is also the proud owner of a unique set of staging routines, performing practices and ancient instruments that make up a legacy rarely found elsewhere. The Troupe has given more than eighty tours, having performed in all five continents and forty countries and regions. The Troupe was awarded the accolade as a Cultural Spearheading Group by the Ministry of Culture in China. The troupe's objective has always been to spread the art of traditional string puppetry. They have developed the ancient art of puppetry by making revolutionary changes and creations. There are 60 members in the troupe. From puppet modelling, image making, string arranging and controlling, stage formatting to program themes, forms as well as contents, the troupe has put great effort to enrich the shows' communicative power and also to improve their own performative techniques.
